Job Position: Bookkeeper
Willow Oak Business Consulting is a small boutique consulting firm that specializes in working with creatives, freelancers, and small businesses. We are passionate about enabling our clients to focus on their core work by taking care of essential business functions. Our comprehensive services include bookkeeping, administrative support, payroll, coaching, and more.
We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team. This individual will primarily focus on bookkeeping for our clients and support us internally with some administrative tasks both virtually and in-office. The ideal candidate is someone who has bookkeeper experience or an accounting related education, possesses the ability to work independently, and is committed to delivering excellent customer service.
Flexible hours are available, but we are looking for someone who will come to the office part time (Ladner, BC).
The hourly rate for this role is between $24 and $27 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct full cycle bookkeeping tasks and accounting duties for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Ensure accuracy of sales tax data for appropriate filings.
- Work independently to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and address inquiries.
- Provide excellent customer service and high quality work, establishing and maintaining positive client relationships
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled or recently completed an Accounting program or related field an asset but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in accounting software and tools.
- Quickbooks, Xero, Wave, Google apps, 17hats, Financial Cents or similar softwares an asset
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous customer service experience is a plus.
